D\u00fcnyan\u0131n en dayan\u0131kl\u0131 surlar\u0131 olarak bilinen Amed Surlar\u0131 5,700 metre uzunlu\u011fundad\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p>Bu tarihi surlarda toplam 82 bur\u00e7 bulunmaktad\u0131r ve d\u00f6rt y\u00f6ne a\u00e7\u0131lan ana kap\u0131lar\u0131 vard\u0131r. \u015euana kadar 32 medeniyete ev sahipli\u011fi yapm\u0131\u015f olan surlar\u0131n bulundu\u011fu b\u00f6lge Amid, Amida, Amed olarak isimlendirilmi\u015ftir.<\/p>\n<p>Amed Surlar\u0131, sa\u011flam ve bir o kadar da dayan\u0131kl\u0131 ve mukavemet g\u00fcc\u00fcne sahip ta\u015flardan yap\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Karacada\u011f b\u00f6lgesinden getirilen bazalt (Kevir\u00ean re\u015f\/Kevir\u00ean Qerejdax\u00ea) tabakan\u0131n \u00fczerine bir bazalt tabaka daha eklenerek Surlar in\u015fa edilmi\u015ftir.<\/p>\n<p>\u015eimdiye kadar bir \u00e7ok medeniyete be\u015fiklik etmi\u015f Amed Surlar\u0131\u2019n\u0131n ba\u015fl\u0131ca kap\u0131lar\u0131 \u015funlard\u0131r: Da\u011f Kap\u0131s\u0131 (Deriy\u00ea Xarp\u00eat\u00ea), Urfa Kap\u0131s\u0131 (Deriy\u00ea Rom\u00ea), Mardin Kap\u0131s\u0131 (Deriy\u00ea M\u00eard\u00een\u00ea), Yeni Kap\u0131 (Deriy\u00ea D\u00eejley\u00ea) isimleri ile an\u0131lmaktad\u0131r.
